Orcadia
Orcadia is a Fractional Sloop rigged Bridges Point 24 design by Joel White. First built in 1985 by Bridges Point Boatyard, Maine. The Bridges Point 24 is an American trailerable sailboat designed as a daysailer and cruiser.
In 2022 Tern removed Orcadia’s old diesel engine, rewired and installed a brand new Ocean Volt electric drive system. At Tern we are thrilled to be working on building more environmentally friendly boats and electric drive systems are a great sustainable propulsion option!
While at Tern we installed a new deck seam, rebuilt the toe rails and varnished the bright work. Orcadia was also given a new AwlGrip paint job this included the decks, cockpit, cabin and spar.
Orcadia is now included in Tern’s Mooring to Mooring service where it will be stored on site and receive regular seasonal maintenance during the winter months.
